The Academic Success Center (ASC) at Dodge City Community College is proud to announce that they are the recipients of a Walmart Foundation Community Grant in the amount of $1,000. ASC Coordinator Lisa Killion, with the assistance of DC3 Assistant Professor of English Kathryn O’Neil, applied for the grant and were notified of the award in late March.
The Academic Success Center staff has selected furniture with which to update the center, including a sofa with tablet arms and a stool. With these new updates, students will have more seating available and a more comfortable study space. “We are very grateful to the Walmart Foundation for their generous donation,” said Killion. “The sofa and stool we are purchasing with this grant will be a big hit with the students.” Congratulations to the DC3 ASC!
