  • A State Certified Volunteer Long-term Care Ombudsman advocates for the well-being, safety, and rights of residents in Kansas long-term care facilities by assisting them in attaining the highest possible quality of life. A State Certified Volunteer Long-term Care Ombudsman makes weekly visits to their assigned nursing home or assisted living facility. If needed they will investigate complaints and concerns of resident’s, their families, friends, or staff. A State-Certified Volunteer Long-term Care Ombudsman will bring another perspective to the issue to help resolve the problem or bring about a satisfactory resolution or compromise to the concern.
