DODGE CITY, Kan. – Dodge City women’s soccer coach Tim Romanello is thrilled to announce the 2014 soccer schedule.
The Lady Conquistadors play a tough non-conference slate and a grueling 10-game Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference portion of the schedule.
“The women have a tough schedule and they will be tested from the opening game to the final match of the year,” said Romanello, who led the Lady Conqs to a 9-11 overall record in 2013. “Our conference and region (VI) are probably the toughest in the country. We play a lot of heavyweights, but we can hold our own.”
The Lady Conqs begin preparation for the season Aug. 11 with the annual Purple vs. Gold scrimmage and follow that up with a scrimmage with an opponent to be named at a later date.
DC3 scrimmages at Central Christian Aug. 20.
The Lady Conqs open the regular season Aug. 23 at home against Northern Oklahoma. Action is set to begin at 4 p.m.

The Lady Conqs then begin a two-game home stand Sept. 10 against Hutchinson and then welcome Butler (Sept. 19) to Conquistador Field. DC3 closes out the month at Johnson County (Sept. 27).
DC3 opens Oct. with a three-game home stand. The Lady Conqs welcome Garden City (Oct. 1), Pratt (Oct. 10) and Coffeyville (Oct. 12).
