Published October 30, 2017

Dodge City Community College has been given the title of the number one community college in the state of Kansas, for 2017, on learnhowtobecome.org. Learn How to Become is an organization whose mission it is to “help students understand what it takes to land their perfect career, from picking the right school to climbing the company ladder.”

In deciding how to rank community colleges in Kansas, Learn How to Become used a team of higher education specialists and data analysts whose criteria covered several factors, including the following: median annual alumni earnings 10 years after entering the college; in-state tuition and fees; student/teacher ratio; and availability of employment services. Dodge City Community College, with a graduation rate of 41% and a student/teacher ratio of 12:1, topped the list of quality 2-year institutions in Kansas.

“Kansas is known for having high quality institutions,” said DC3 Director of Distance Education and Accreditation Dr. Scott Searcy. “We are very pleased to be placed at the top of this competitive list.” DC3 President Dr. Harold Nolte agreed. “We are honored to receive this ranking and to continue to provide affordable, top-quality 2-year education to Kansas students.”
