The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is excited to announce that it has been awarded a grant by the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas.
The $2,000 grant from the CFSWKS will help maintain and expand the RSVP Medical Transport program, which provides much needed transportation assistance for dozens of our area’s seniors.
“The Community Foundation’s gracious award helps RSVP continue to provide a vital service to our area,” said Lise O’Neal, RSVP director. “The Community Foundation and RSVP each do great things for the community, so we are grateful to the Foundation and of course our generous volunteers.”
The Ford County RSVP program was launched in spring 1974 as an avenue for retired individuals to serve community needs and fellow seniors. Dodge City Community College has been the sponsoring agency for the majority of the organization’s existence.
