Every year, PracticalNursing.org studies PN programs in each state. On July 20, 2021, Dodge City Community College was notified that our PN program has been ranked as one of the best in Kansas! Our 2021 ranking is….(drum roll please)….
#1 IN THE STATE OF KANSAS!!!
Nursing programs were assessed on several factors which represent how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond. Programs were analyzed based on past and present first-time NCLEX-PN “pass rates” – weighted by year. PracticalNursing.org has been publishing annual rankings since 2014. For a list of the programs ranked, go to www.practicalnursing.org/lpn-programs/kansas/#top.
Dodge City Community College offers a traditional two-year Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree with a practical nurse certification option after the first year. The curriculum includes theory and clinical experience inpatient care in a variety of settings. Students accepted into the traditional day program attend classes on campus and participate in clinicals during the week. All students who complete the ADN curriculum are eligible to apply for licensure. DC3 is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
