As an active member of the Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO) for the past year, she has formed part of activities intended to foster Latino culture on campus and in her community while aiming to improve the college experience of her peers. Michelle has been an integral part of events that broaden cultural awareness including the Dodge City Days Parade, Hispanic Heritage Week, Friendsgiving Dinner, and her participation in the 17th annual Encuentro leadership conference at Kansas State University in October 2023. She responds to challenges, offers solutions to make her environment more vibrant, and is sensitive to the individuality of everyone she meets.”
