Jose Garcia became the first official Conq of the Month, chosen by members of the Celebrating Excellence at DC3 committee for his exemplary work ethic and for his actions helping DC3 students during the January blizzard. In addition to a certificate, Garcia received $100 in Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce bucks and a celebratory come-and-go reception on Tuesday, April 23, in the Student Union Ford County Room. During the reception, it was shared the next recipient would be picked by Garcia as the reigning Conq of the Month. Because the awards will alternate between staff and faculty members, the May honoree will be a DC3 faculty member.
