Through an ongoing partnership with Truck Center Companies (TCC), the Dodge City Community College (DC3) diesel technology program was presented with two trucks and a diesel training engine on Friday, Aug. 16. The two donated trucks include a 2012 Freightliner CA125 on-highway unit and a 2019 Freightliner M2 106 medium-duty box truck, and the engine is a DD15 from Daimler Truck North America. DC3 wishes to thank Terry Wright, TCC Vice President of Kansas, and Silver Ruiz, TCC Dodge City General Manager, for organizing the truck donations; Kenny Smith, TCC Diesel Trainer from Omaha, Neb., for acquiring the training engine; and Daniel Williams of Southwest Towing for donating his time and new Western Star X-Series tow truck to move the donated units.
