High Plains Public Radio Recognizes DC3 Donation

Published October 2, 2024

Dodge City Community College (DC3) was recognized on Friday, Sept. 27, by High Plains Public Radio (HPPR), for the donation of its KONQ-FM 91.9 radio frequency and transmitter. After the 2023 sale of the college’s physical radio station property, which was located at 3004 N. 14th Ave., DC3 legally transferred the KONQ-FM frequency to HPPR on July 25, 2023. Prior to the transfer, DC3 and HPPR had been sharing broadcast time on KONQ-FM since 2015, due to the phasing out of the college’s radio and TV program.
