Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:

SMS/Text Messaging, Mobile Terms & Conditions

Dodge City Community College (DCCC) offers its students and stakeholders mobile alerts regarding academic reminders, campus events, registration notifications, emergency alerts, and other communications by SMS message (the “Service”) through specific shortcodes or phone numbers. By participating in the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use and DCCC’s Privacy Policy.

Signing Up and Opting-In to the Service 

Enrollment in the Service requires you to provide your mobile phone number and agree to these Website Terms of Use. You may not enroll if you are under 18 years old without the consent of a parent or guardian. Before the Service begins, you must agree to these Terms of Use. DCCC reserves the right to discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice.

By opting into the Service, you:

1. Authorize DCCC to use auto-dialer or non-auto-dialed technology to send SMS/text messages to the mobile phone number associated with your opt-in (i.e., the number listed on the opt-in form or, if none, the number from which you send the opt-in, or the number on file for your student account).
2. Acknowledge that you do not have to agree to receive messages as a condition of enrollment or participation in DCCC programs.
3. Confirm that you are the subscriber to the relevant phone number or that you are the customary user of that number on a family or business plan and are authorized to opt in.
4. Consent to the use of an electronic record to document your opt-in.

Content You May Receive 

Once you affirm your choice to opt-in to the Service, your message frequency may vary. You may receive alerts about DCCC-related topics, including but not limited to:

– Academic registration deadlines and reminders
– Campus events and news
– Emergency notifications or safety alerts
– Tuition payment deadlines
– Academic or student services updates

Charges and Carriers 

Message and data rates may apply. Please consult your service agreement with your wireless carrier to determine the charges for sending and receiving text messages. You acknowledge that you are responsible for any charges incurred (e.g., usage, subscription, etc.) as a result of using the Service.

Supported carriers include, but are not limited to, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Virgin Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Cricket, MetroPCS, and other regional carriers. The Service may not be available on all wireless carriers. DCCC and its service providers are not responsible for any delays, failures in delivery, or errors in messages.

To Stop the Service 

To stop receiving SMS/text messages from DCCC, text the word STOP to 67283 or 226787 at any time, or reply STOP to any message you receive from DCCC. After texting STOP, you will receive one additional message confirming that your request has been processed.
