Political Science


The Associate of Arts in Political Science is designed for students who want to understand how governments work, how decisions are made, and how individuals can create change in their communities and beyond. This transfer-focused degree builds strong skills in critical thinking, communication, research, and analysis while preparing you for continued study in a wide range of fields.

Through engaging coursework, discussion-based learning, and real-world exploration of political systems and current issues, you’ll learn to evaluate ideas, communicate effectively, and think strategically about complex challenges. Small class sizes and supportive faculty help you to develop confidence as you prepare to transfer into bachelor’s degree programs in political science, law, public administration, international relations, journalism, and related areas.
