DC3 has multiple scholarship options to assist you in paying for your education. These options include but are not limited to, the DC3 Foundation, Kansas Promise Act scholarship, Activity/Athletic, Athletic Academic, etc. Please find detailed descriptions of these opportunities below!

Foundation

Apply for both Foundation Scholarships & Financial Aid Scholarships on one application!

  • Sign in to MyDC3.
  • Under Student tab >> Scholarships, complete The DC3 Scholarship application.
  • Submit all official transcripts to transcripts@dc3.edu.
  • The Office of Financial Aid will accept 7 semester High School transcripts for scholarship purposes, use the secure link below to submit https://liquidfiles.dc3.edu/filedrop/FinancialAid.
  • Applying for a scholarship does not guarantee the awarding of a scholarship. Scholarship applications must be re-submitted on a yearly basis. The deadline for the 2027-2028 scholarship application is April 15, 2027.
  • Submit an essay to foundation@dc3.edu. This is not required but IS RECOMMENDED.

Kansas Promise Act Scholarship

https://www.kansasregents.gov/students/student_financial_aid/promise-act-scholarship

This scholarship is only available for two-year degrees and certificate programs; bachelor’s degrees do not qualify. In exchange for receiving scholarship assistance, the student agrees to live and work in Kansas for two consecutive years following graduation. Not all degrees that are offered at DC3 will be eligible programs for the KS Promise Act scholarship. Please check the eligible courses at the link provided above.

  • The KS Promise scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for students who need financial assistance past what their Federal Student Aid is able to provide. This is a last-dollar scholarship, so it is non-refundable. Students may receive a scholarship in the amount of aggregate tuition, required fees, books and materials minus all other financial aid (including grants and scholarships) that does not require repayment.
  • While the application is initially completed through the link provided above, DC3’s financial aid office will process the applications and determine whether a student has any available funds. Students must complete all requirements via KBOR’s requests before our financial aid office may begin our portion of the process.
  • Unlike most scholarships, this application must be completed each individual semester that a student is looking for assistance. Failure to meet the application deadline means there will be no opportunity to qualify for the funds that term.
  • promise@ksbor.org – please contact this email with any questions directly related to the scholarship / if you are needing an update on your status once you have completed all that is required of you, contact our financial aid office at finaid@dc3.edu

Outside Scholarship Opportunities

Look at outside scholarship opportunities. These can include your church, civic organizations, community foundations, and more. Include link to ‘Outside Scholarships’ page with the below listed scholarships links

Please remember, while DC3 has scholarship funds to award to students to aid in paying for their education, they are limited. Simply applying does not guarantee an award. Student must reapply each year. We cannot guarantee that you will receive all of the financial aid and/or scholarships needed for your education. Funds are limited and awarded on a first-come first-serve basis.

However, the Financial Aid Office is here to assist you throughout the entire process.

Demanding that you deserve a scholarship isn’t advisable at any organization. Showcasing your accomplishments, goals, academic accolades, professionalism, and your civic and/or athletic participation IS advisable. Remember that no scholarship is guaranteed. Make the reason you stand out a positive one.
