Welcome to the Dodge City Community College Foundation! We are dedicated to raising funds to assist Dodge City Community College with scholarships, projects, and programs. The DC3 Foundation is also working towards a strong alumni base and Foundation Friends who are also dedicated to the education and success of all future Conquistadors.

Dodge City Community College Foundation scholarships have enabled students to learn new skills, earn technical certificates, complete two-year associate’s degrees, be qualified for the workforce, and be prepared to pursue the remainder of their undergraduate studies at colleges and universities around the United States. We are proud and exceedingly grateful that DC3 Foundation scholarships have impacted the lives of thousands of DC3 students (formerly through the DCCC Endowment Association). These students come from all corners of the state and the nation and they share one belief – that education can change and improve their lives.

Our scholarships can provide financial support, but for many students, being a scholarship recipient means something more. It means that someone believes in them enough to provide them with the financial resources needed to attend DC3. It means that someone else believes in their dreams. Giving to DC3 Foundation’s scholarships is an investment in individual students, but also an investment in the economic prosperity of the region. Students who graduate with an associate’s degree earn 33 percent more than those with only a high school diploma.

The DC3 Foundation is also proud of the many projects and programs for which we have been able to raise financial assistance. The continued growth of our college is an important part of the educational opportunities offered for our students. State-of-the-art facilities, program improvements, and grant assistance are all examples of funding opportunities the Foundation works towards. DC3 Foundation’s purpose is to exist exclusively for the benefit of Dodge City Community College, its faculty, and students in the furtherance of the educational and charitable activities of the College. It does so through providing financial assistance to students, fiscal support for college programs, and occasionally running campaigns in support of needed college capital improvements.

FROM Alumni…

Thanks to DC3, its scholarships, and premium learning and teaching, I got the confidence and means to be able to transfer to a university where I double-majored in Communications and American Studies. I have returned home to France, where I received my Master's degree in teaching where I am doing my dream job of teaching English to junior high and high school students. None of that would have been possible without Dodge City Community College. DC3 offered me an incredible learning environment, a Learning Center, computer labs, social clubs, and the opportunity to learn in small classes with professors who really cared about us, our success, and who were always available after class!"

Laura Holtzer, Class of 2012, Associates of Applied Science

The Conquistador is not just an image for a wonderful college but it is unity that cannot be broken. DC3 helped me by learning how to be a better student and individual. I chose DC3 to continue to play baseball and receive a better education to help me propel forward in life. I am now achieving my MBA in Finance and Accounting and would not be here without DC3's amazing community! Conqs for life!"

Eric Graff, Class of 2011, Associates in General Studies, Financial Analyst

DC3 promoted an atmosphere that helped me acquire a solid foundation in science, as well as giving me the opportunity to golf competitively. Over the past years I have continued to grow in my appreciation for choosing to attend DC3."

Adam Zuzelski, Class of 2012, Association of Science - Medicine, M.D. Candidate KU School of Medicine

I knew I wanted to work in the education field, but it was Lorna Ford who introduced me to Early Childhood Education. Dodge City Community College laid the foundation for my career and the love that I have for children."

Brittany Garcia, Class of 2008, Associate Degree in General Studies

Having an academic scholarship that covered the full cost of my tuition and books to a school that was just two hours from my hometown made going to DC3 a no-brainer for me. And because all of my credits transferred easily, it gave me the start I needed to go on and complete my nursing degree at Grand Canyon University. Today, I am enjoying a successful career as the director of nursing at an outpatient surgery center that serves approximately 500 cases per month. So, yes, going to DC3 was certainly the right choice for me."

Tammy Florence Munsch, Class of 1989, Nursing
