The off-campus Adult Learning Center offers English as a Second Language (ESL) to help non-native English speakers improve their English language skills. The classes also aim to help adults acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain employment, become full partners in the educational development of their children, improve economic opportunities for their family, and aid in the transition to postsecondary education and training. The program begins with an orientation and reading and listening tests that determine the student’s skill level. Instructors meet with students individually throughout the session to ensure goals are met. Some adult learners have found that doing online courses such as Effortless English Club easier to fit around their everyday life, while they learn the language. Some learnings also benefit from a free crossword puzzle maker consider using one when you want to reinforce what you’ve already learned to share with others.
