New Students

Brand new to college? DC3 is a great place to start! Just follow the admissions checklist below. 

Transfer Students

It’s easy to transfer to DC3. Get started by following the admissions checklist.

* Transfer students on academic probation may be accepted on probation at Dodge City Community College. To qualify for any degree, students must earn their last twelve hours of credit at Dodge City Community College.

International Students

High School Students

We welcome any high school student who qualifies under Kansas Legislature Act SB421 and has been authorized by his/her school’s principal to attend college courses. A copy of the student’s Education Plan (EP) must be on file with the college registrar’s office for college credit to be granted.

Unaccredited Private School Students

At DC3, students who have graduated from an unaccredited school can be admitted under the same provisions and regulations that apply to any other student. In these cases, students will need to submit evidence of their academic status in the form of a diploma, transcripts or assessment exams.

Non-Degree Seeking Students

Want to learn but don’t need the degree? No problem. Go ahead and apply, but you won’t need to submit any transcripts.

Admissions Checklist

International students, please see our International Student Guidelines.

All students:

  1. Arrange a campus visit by calling 620-227-9207 or by visiting www.dc3.edu/visit (optional)
  2. Apply online at https://conqs.dc3.edu/ICS/Admissions/
  3. Apply for Financial Aid. Provide Student ID Number on all correspondences with the Financial Aid office.
  4. Send ACT Scores to the Testing Center (DC3 Code # 1402) or schedule a complimentary Accuplacer test by contacting our Testing Center at 620-227-9357 or testingcenter@dc3.edu
  5. Have your high school transcript sent to the Records Office upon graduation (transcripts@dc3.edu).
  6. Turn in Residence Life contract and $150 application fee.
  7. Login at conqs.dc3.edu/ics, click on the Student tab. From here, you can find your advisor, view schedule details, and access important forms and publications.
  8. Access your ConqMail by visiting gmail.com, enter your Last Name + Student ID Number@conqmail.org for your email address and your default password 00+ Student ID Number.

Students who will participate in athletics or the nursing program:

  1. Submit a signed form from a physician stating that you’ve received a recent physical examination. (Varsity athletes will need a physical exam each year.)

Students who will participate in athletics, the nursing program, or live on campus:

  1. Provide a complete medical form.

* All official transcripts must be mailed by the issuing institution directly to the Dodge City Community College Admissions Office. Hand-delivered hard copies or electronic copies will not be accepted.
