The Dodge City Community College (DC3) Music Department will again present its annual holiday concert at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Windthorst, Kan.
Titled “Sounds of the Season: A Holiday Concert,” the event will showcase 14 selections by several musical groups such as the Dodge City Symphony Orchestra, the DC3 Concert Choir, and the DC3 Choral Union.
“It’s a continuation of the beautiful tradition of Windthorst concerts,” Kerry J. Kuplic, Professor of Vocal Music, said. “We have the opportunity to share an outstanding repertoire with patrons in a beautiful, historic setting. It’s a real joy—a joy we take very seriously. We program repertoire to fit the aesthetic of Windthorst. It’s a great honor for us to be able to perform there. Patrons expect high-quality concerts, and I’m pleased that we’re able to consistently deliver.”
“Sounds of the Season,” which will be conducted by Kuplic and Joel Vinson, Band Director, will also feature a percussion ensemble conducted by Percussion Assistant Katherine Bowden.
